If your workplace uses a wall-mounted Payrollix time clock, you clock in and out with your PIN. You don't sign in — just tap your PIN and go.
Clocking in
- On the tablet, enter your PIN. It submits on its own once you've typed the last digit.
- The screen greets you by name and shows your options.
- Tap Clock In.
That's it — you'll see a confirmation, and the screen returns to the PIN pad for the next person.
Breaks and clocking out
Tap your PIN again any time to:
- Start Break / End Break — while you're clocked in.
- Clock Out — at the end of your shift.
The screen only shows the actions that make sense right now, so you can't accidentally clock in twice or end a break you didn't start. When you're clocked in, it also shows how long you've been on the clock (for example, "Clocked in · 2h 15m").
The photo
Some workplaces have the tablet take a quick photo when you clock in or out. This just confirms it's really you punching — it's stored with the punch and isn't shared beyond your employer's records.
If your PIN doesn't work
If the tablet says "PIN not recognized," you may have mistyped it, or a PIN may not be set up for you yet. Check your PIN in your Payrollix app under Profile → Time-Clock PIN (see Find or change your kiosk PIN), or ask your manager. After several wrong tries the kiosk pauses PIN entry for a few minutes as a security measure.
Where your hours go
Every punch is recorded on your timesheet automatically. There's nothing else you need to do — the hours are ready for payroll. You can review them any time in your Payrollix app under Timesheets.
