Every paystub and report PDF Payrollix generates can carry your firm's brand and use a paystub layout you choose. There are two independent settings: branding (logo, colors, contact) and the paystub template. Branding applies to every template, so you can mix and match.
Add your firm's branding
Go to Settings → Firm branding. Everything here applies to PDF documents only — paystubs, payroll reports, 941/940, W-2/1099. The web app, mobile app, and emails stay Payrollix-branded.
- Logo — upload a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG (max 2 MB). It prints at the top-left of the paystub, above the employer's name.
- Primary color — tints the header rule and the Net Pay line so the stub reads as yours.
- Firm display name — shown in the "Processed by …" footer.
- Support email / website — printed in the footer and used for the "For questions about this pay statement, contact …" line, so employees reach you, not Payrollix.
Leave any field blank to fall back to the Payrollix default. Your branding shows on all three templates below.
Choose a paystub template
On the same Firm branding page, pick the default layout for your clients' pay statements. All three show the exact same information — earnings, taxes, deductions, employer contributions, time-off balances, and the Current + YTD columns — they just look different:
- Classic (default) — an ADP-style two-column earnings statement. Familiar and information-dense; what most employees are used to.
- Airy — a modern look with rounded cards and a large "take-home this period" figure up top. Friendly and easy to scan.
- Minimal — a clean fintech look: an accent rail, an oversized net-pay number, and hairline tables.
New firms start on Classic. Changing the default applies to the next paystub generated for every client that hasn't set its own override.
Override the template for one client
A specific client can use a different layout than your firm default. Open that client → Settings → Payroll tab → Paystub template and choose Classic, Airy, or Minimal — or leave it on Firm default to inherit your firm-wide choice. The override affects only that client's paystubs.
What your clients' employees see
Employees always see the same figures no matter which template you pick — a paystub is a legal wage record, so the numbers never change with the design. Only the styling does. For what each line means, point employees to how to read your paystub.
Changes take effect on the next paystub generated; already-issued PDFs are unchanged.
